Organizer Paul Pivac pauses before the event gets underway. Paul's goal four years ago when he began the "Paul E. Pivac Battle of the Barrel" was two-fold; To memorialize his father and
his long fire service in the community and to help youngsters get a start in the fire service. Well Done Paul...well done!

August 22, 2015 - The day was perfect as nine teams gathered to hear the rules of the game read by organizer, Paul Pivac. The teams and participants came from; Cecil #3, Muse, Lawrence,
Dunbar, Slovan, South Fayette, North Strabane, Allegheny Valley, Jefferson Township. and Harmarville,
It was Dunbar who had bragging rights coming in, but it was Jefferson Township who will now brag...at least for a year. Dunbar finished a close second.
